With insights from two major EU-funded projects, EARASHI and JARVIS and high-level speakers, the session will explore not just where technology is heading, but what it means for people, the skills we’ll need, the jobs that are changing, and the policies that can support the transition.

SPEAKERS

Zoi Arkouli

JARVIS Coordinator & Research Engineer, University of Patras

Zoi Arkouli is a mechanical engineer active in intelligent robotics for manufacturing. She currently coordinates the EU-funded JARVIS project. Her expertise lies in the human-centric design of AI-powered systems for flexible production, with emphasis on human-robot collaboration, reconfigurable workstations, and the ethical adoption of emerging technologies in industry.

Christian Bölling

Managing Director, Central region, EIT Manufacturing Central

Christian Bölling founded the Central Office of EIT Manufacturing in Germany in 2019 and is its Managing Director. With a team of 20, he delivers innovation, commercialisation and startup support in manufacturing. Before, he was Head of Cutting Technology at the Institute of Production Management, Technology and Machine Tools of TU Darmstadt, Germany.

Isabelle DOR

Coordinator of EARASHI & Researcher engineer at CEA

Isabelle Dor graduated in solid mechanics engineering in 1987. She received the Von Karman institute diploma in fluid dynamic diploma in 1988. She joined the CEA-Grenoble in 1989 and she worked on thermal-hydraulics two-phase flow simulation for 25 years. In 2014, she joined CEA/LETI. She works on European project building and coordination in CEA/LETI, with a strong focus in Financial support to third-party projects She is the coordinator of the EU project EARASHI.
