


CO-HAND is a pilot project tackling JARVIS CH2 on agile collaborative robotics for logistics, with a focus on material handling & transportation. In textile factories like our end user CETRIKO’s, operators must manually handle up to 192 yarn cones per weaving machine, each weighing up to 6 kg, often stored on vertical racks up to two meters high. This task is repetitive,
ergonomically risky and time-consuming, especially in narrow aisles with poor lighting and dust. The challenge is to reduce health risks, improve efficiency, and create a safer, more human centric workplace through robotic assistance.
The pilot aims to validate an AI-powered TIAGo Pro mobile manipulator as a safe, ergonomic
assistant for material handling in textile environments. Within JARVIS, the objectives are to:
● Autonomously remove and replace yarn cones in CETRIKO’s semi-structured, cluttered,
and visually challenging plant;
● Safely navigate narrow aisles while remaining aware of human co-workers;
● Reduce repetitive strain and ergonomic risks for operators;
● Demonstrate human-robot collaboration through intuitive, multimodal interaction
(voice and visual cues).
The results will be demonstrated directly in CETRIKO’s production environment, proving the
system’s robustness under real industrial conditions.

● Modular grasping pipeline combining object recognition and pose estimation (JARVIS tools).
● Human-aware navigation for safe mobility in crowded, dynamic spaces.
● ROS4HRI-based human–robot interaction with voice notifications.
● Operator-facing web interface for intuitive task assignment and monitoring.
● Iterative, user-centered design with on-site deployment and validation.
