On 16–17 September 2026, the JARVIS consortium gathered in Patras, Greece, for its Second Project Review Meeting, bringing together project partners, reviewers and representatives of the European Commission to assess the progress achieved during the project’s second reporting period and discuss priorities for the next phase.
After 30 months of implementation, the meeting provided an important opportunity to take stock of the work carried out across JARVIS and present the results achieved so far.
Partners presented progress across the project’s different areas of work, from the continued development and integration of the JARVIS technological modules to their validation in manufacturing environments. The meeting also highlighted the work carried out through the project’s Open Calls, which are extending the JARVIS ecosystem and supporting the testing and further development of its technologies in additional industrial applications.
Another important focus was the path towards exploitation and long-term impact. The consortium discussed how the technologies and knowledge developed within JARVIS can progress beyond individual project results towards exploitable solutions, while strengthening connections with industrial stakeholders and the wider European manufacturing ecosystem.
The Review Meeting also provided the consortium with valuable feedback from the reviewers and the European Commission, as well as an opportunity to discuss current challenges and align priorities for the remaining period of the project.
The meeting in Patras was also an opportunity for participants to see JARVIS technologies in action. A technical demonstration showcased ongoing work on human–robot collaboration in a manufacturing environment, providing a concrete illustration of how the technological developments pursued within the project are being brought closer to real industrial applications.
This combination of project review, technical discussion and hands-on demonstration reflected the core ambition of JARVIS: advancing human–robot collaboration through AI-enabled technologies designed around the needs of manufacturing environments and their users.
With the Second Review Meeting completed, JARVIS now moves into the next stage of implementation. The consortium will continue working on the development, integration and validation of its technologies, while increasing its focus on exploitation, uptake and the longer-term impact of the project results.
The coming period will also see the continuation of activities linked to the JARVIS Open Call ecosystem, helping connect the project’s technologies with new organisations, industrial challenges and application scenarios.
